ShadPs4Plus

ShadPs4Plus is a full-featured fork of what is by far the best PlayStation 4 emulator for Windows and Linux. Thanks to this emulator, you can run PlayStation 4 homebrew and a host of PlayStation exclusive video games on your PC. It is important to note that, for the emulator to work correctly, Visual Studio Community needs to be installed. If you do not meet this fundamental requirement, you won't be able to play any PS4 games, no matter how powerful your PC is.

Just as easy to configure as the original

Configuring ShadPs4Plus is as easy as configuring the original ShadPS4. Simply unzip the new executable in the same folder where you have ShadPS4 installed. If all goes well, you can just double-click on the new executable. And that's it. You can configure everything else directly from the emulator's Options menu. Adjust the resolution and shaders, configure the controller and keyboard, change the path to where the games are located, and more.

Use PKG to install your games

The main difference between ShadPs4Plus and ShadPS4 is precisely in the use of PKG files to emulate your games. ShadPS4 did originally support this format, which is much more convenient for installing PS4 games directly on the emulator, in its first versions. However, starting with version 0.6, the developers of the original emulator removed support for PKG files. Thanks to this Plus version of the emulator, this feature returns and you can continue using all the ROMs, games and homebrew from previous versions.

PlayStation 4 emulation is not as advanced as older consoles, but ShadPs4Plus is already capable of running over twenty different video games, many of them playable from start to finish. Among the biggest titles that can already be played, for example, are Bloodborne or 13 Sentinels, two of the console's great exclusives and, according to critics and the general public, two of the best video games in history. On the official ShadPS4 website you will find the latest compatibility updates. Note, however, that the Plus version has exactly the same compatibility list as the standard version.
